Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the were Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:), which rose 8.82% or 5.55 points to trade at 68.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:) added 4.25% or 0.150 points to end at 3.680 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:) was up 3.91% or 0.210 points to 5.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aygaz AS (IS:), which fell 5.82% or 0.70 points to trade at 11.33 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:) declined 5.01% or 0.250 points to end at 4.740 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:) was down 4.97% or 1.03 points to 19.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 180 to 172 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.17% or 2.25 to $1312.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $53.75 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.22 to trade at $63.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.49% to 5.3057, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 5.9833.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.018.
