The worst performers of the session were Green Energy Technology Inc (TW:), which fell 10.00% or 0.60 points to trade at 5.40 at the close. AU Optronics (TW:) declined 6.67% or 0.85 points to end at 11.90 and Wei Chuan Foods Corp (TW:) was down 5.79% or 1.30 points to 21.15.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

USD/TWD was up 0.26% to 30.767, while TWD/CNY rose 0.50% to 0.2191.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.357.
