Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the rose 0.21% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the were Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:), which rose 1.90% or 1.76 points to trade at 94.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank Abp (ST:) added 1.34% or 0.93 points to end at 70.29 and Autoliv Inc . SDB (ST:) was up 1.27% or 8.0 points to 638.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:), which fell 1.71% or 2.5 points to trade at 146.9 at the close. Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson Class B (ST:) declined 1.42% or 1.28 points to end at 88.72 and Hexagon AB ser. B (ST:) was down 0.96% or 5.0 points to 517.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 358 to 260 and 70 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.94% or 0.54 to $56.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.02% or 0.65 to hit $63.17 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 2.90 to trade at $1418.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.23% to 10.5243, while USD/SEK rose 0.17% to 9.3269.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.350.
