Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were NMTP (MCX:), which rose 3.75% or 0.2750 points to trade at 7.6050 at the close. Meanwhile, Tatneft-3 (MCX:) added 3.46% or 26.40 points to end at 790.30 and AFK Sistema (MCX:) was up 3.05% or 0.287 points to 9.705 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were NPK OVK PAO (MCX:), which fell 3.15% or 15.9 points to trade at 488.2 at the close. Yandex NV (MCX:) declined 2.82% or 63.80 points to end at 2200.20 and United Company Rusal Plc (MCX:) was down 1.37% or 0.455 points to 32.645.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 131 to 81 and 26 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of MOEX Russia options, was up 1.37% to 22.930.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.39% or 5.15 to $1319.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.04% or 1.11 to hit $55.52 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 2.04% or 1.32 to trade at $65.89 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 0.23% to 66.4946, while EUR/RUB fell 0.37% to 74.9455.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 96.928.
