Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The best performers of the session on the were BW Offshore Ltd (OL:), which rose 23.28% or 11.170 points to trade at 59.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Petroleum Geo – Services ASA (OL:) added 4.15% or 0.44 points to end at 10.91 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:) was up 4.08% or 1.13 points to 28.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:), which fell 5.97% or 2.31 points to trade at 36.41 at the close. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:) declined 2.81% or 6.30 points to end at 218.00 and SalMar ASA (OL:) was down 2.66% or 11.80 points to 432.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 138 to 80 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.50% or 1.42 to $55.29 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.10% or 1.27 to hit $59.22 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.30% or 4.65 to trade at $1532.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.42% to 10.0127, while USD/NOK rose 0.20% to 9.1140.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 98.800.
