The worst performers of the session were Credit Saison Co., Ltd. (T:), which fell 7.26% or 85.0 points to trade at 1085.0 at the close. Softbank Group Corp. (T:) declined 6.35% or 651.0 points to end at 9599.0 and Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd (T:) was down 5.66% or 174.0 points to 2901.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tokyo Stock Exchange by 3059 to 548 and 133 ended unchanged.

USD/JPY was down 0.03% to 108.22, while EUR/JPY fell 0.24% to 120.88.
