Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the gained 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the were Energean Oil & Gas PLC (TASE:), which rose 24.25% or 516 points to trade at 2644 at the close. Meanwhile, Shikun & Binui (TASE:) added 4.24% or 50 points to end at 1230 and Alony Hetz Properties and Investments Ltd (TASE:) was up 4.09% or 135 points to 3433 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fattal 1998 Holdings Ltd (TASE:), which fell 6.17% or 980 points to trade at 14900 at the close. Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:) declined 4.17% or 71 points to end at 1631 and Israel Corp (TASE:) was down 2.31% or 670 points to 28330.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 264 to 128 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gazit Globe Ltd (TASE:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 4.17% or 71 to 1631. Shares in Israel Corp (TASE:) fell to 5-year lows; falling 2.31% or 670 to 28330.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.60% or 0.24 to $39.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $41.84 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 18.25 to trade at $1799.45 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.34% to 3.4619, while EUR/ILS rose 0.42% to 3.8944.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 97.265.
