The worst performers of the session were Tata Motors Ltd (NS:), which fell 17.88% or 32.70 points to trade at 150.70 at the close. Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (NS:) declined 6.91% or 45.05 points to end at 613.90 and Vedanta Ltd (NS:) was down 5.41% or 8.85 points to 154.15.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (BO:) which rose 0.95% to 1295.55, Bharti Airtel Ltd (BO:) which was up 0.85% to settle at 313.60 and HCL Technologies Ltd (BO:) which gained 0.46% to close at 1065.90.
The worst performers were Tata Motors Ltd (BO:) which was down 17.28% to 151.30 in late trade, Tata Motors Ltd DVR (BO:) which lost 13.72% to settle at 81.45 and Vedanta Ltd (BO:) which was down 5.75% to 154.05 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 1074 to 508 and 61 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1524 fell and 917 advanced, while 121 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tata Motors Ltd DVR (BO:) fell to 3-years lows; down 13.72% or 12.95 to 81.45. Shares in Vedanta Ltd (BO:) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.75% or 9.40 to 154.05.
