SAO PAULO (Reuters) – The Brazilian unit of French retailer Carrefour SA (PA:) disclosed earlier on Thursday іn a securities filing a corruption investigation into its operations.
In thе filing, Carrefour Brasil (SA:) mentioned media reports “of possible involvement of employees of thе company іn thе payment of undue benefits tо certain authorities” related tо thе operation of a store іn Sao Paulo аnd its headquarters “without operating license”.
