Investing.com – Canada stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Meanwhile, Bombardier Inc (TO:) added 10.40% or 0.260 points to end at 2.760 and Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd. (TO:) was up 9.78% or 0.220 points to 2.470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCL Industries Inc (TO:), which fell 4.23% or 2.51 points to trade at 56.87 at the close. Superior Plus Corp (TO:) declined 4.18% or 0.49 points to end at 11.23 and Cameco Corp (TO:) was down 4.17% or 0.68 points to 15.64.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 762 to 366 and 102 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of S&P/TSX Composite options, was down 2.15% to 14.10 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.66% or 21.95 to $1344.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.79% or 0.44 to hit $56.42 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.03% or 0.02 to trade at $66.49 a barrel.
CAD/USD was down 0.02% to 0.7569, while CAD/EUR rose 0.00% to 0.6674.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.40% at 96.355.
