The worst performers of the session were NFI Group Inc (TO:), which fell 14.31% or 4.86 points to trade at 29.10 at the close. IAMGold Corporation (TO:) declined 10.55% or 0.500 points to end at 4.240 and Bombardier Inc (TO:) was down 3.79% or 0.080 points to 2.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Toronto Stock Exchange by 580 to 509 and 123 ended unchanged.
Shares in NFI Group Inc (TO:) fell to 52-week lows; down 14.31% or 4.86 to 29.10.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.38% or 4.95 to $1293.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.44% or 0.23 to hit $52.34 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.15% or 0.70 to trade at $61.34 a barrel.
CAD/USD was up 0.07% to 0.7542, while CAD/EUR rose 0.25% to 0.6620.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 95.727.
